do you know your kid's apgar scores?

I was talking to a friend today that delivered at the same hospital as I did...neither of us remember anyone mentioning Apgar scores.  Before I gave birth it seemed like every birth story I read on the bump included these scores.

So, just curious...did the doctor or nurses tell you your child's Apgar scores?

I heard them say it to each other right after she was born, but they never directed it towards me.

The Dr's may have said it, however I don't remember it.  I was so loopy and excited that I was zoned in on Miller.  They could've said that an atomic bomb was going to go off, but I wouldn't have heard it.  I'm with you Bethany, every birthstory included the scores but I have NO CLUE what Miller's was.

I asked while I was still open on the table. He made a 9 on both.

I remember asking, but I don't remember what they said.

I didn't think to ask and no one told me that I know of...but I don't remember a lot of detail of what everyone was saying.  I had always seen the birth stories with those as well and after reading a couple after Aubrey was born I remember thinking I have no idea what her apgar scores were.

I vaguely remember my Doctor telling me but I was so out of it that I don't remember.

I only know Sarah's because they were on her discharge papers.  Her's were 2, 3 and 5...and once I saw them, I kinda wished I hadn't...  :-(
