Infertility

Beta in....

I got my beta results and I am less than thrilled.  I am 11dp5dt and it was only 57.5.  I know that it is doubling that matters, but I have had far too many chemical pregnancies to know that this doesn't look good.  My progesterone also dropped a bit from my last draw (not sure how much), so now I need to up my PIO.  I feel so defeated.  I thought this was it.  I am still going to go to my acupuncture appointment today and try to remain a little hopeful, but this is just hard.

After 1 IUI, 3 IVF's with CGH/CCS testing, 10 early miscarriages, and lots of tears and frustration, we are moving on to Domestic Infant Adoption!  We are so excited to see what the future holds.

  • Thanks so much everyone.  Sorry I seem like such a downer.  It just seems too much like the other 6 times this has happened and it is frustrating.  We transferred 2 chromosomally normal embryos and I had such a good feeling about it...

  • Good luck with your next beta.  I hope that it keeps doubling and turns out very differently than the other times.

  • I don't think you have any reason to worry at this point!  Having your progesterone drop doesn't necessarily mean anything - progesterone can fluctuate all over the place when you're pg.  Fingers crossed for you!

  • Oh emca, I am sorry.  I would feel the same way with your history (since i think our histories are very similar).  It's hard not to be down.  But, these ladies are right.  Many pregnancies have come from far lower numbers.  I have my fingers crossed that you have a nice high doubling beta.

Sending you lots of thoughts and ((hugs)).

  • Like previous posters have said it's the doubling that matters and there have been many women on this board with far lower beta's that have had healthy babies! Stay positive hun!
