stuffy nose/teething?

My LO didn't sleep any last night and I realized his nose was stuffy and that was why he kept waking up. As of today though he has been screaming all day and night and wouldn't take any naps or go to sleep so it seems more like he is in pain for some reason and his stuffy nose is just making whatever it is worse. He also doesn't have any other symptoms of the common cold like coughing and hasn't had any fever. My question is that I have heard that sometimes a stuffy nose comes with teething, so have any of you experienced these 2 things together? Luckly we have his 4 month checkup tomorrow.

Re: stuffy nose/teething?

  • ugh! yes! We have been going thru the exact same thing... last night Jude woke up every hour starting around 4 and screamed and screamed... Plus he is really fussy during the day... It's been like this for a few days and no teeth, so I hope he gets them soon.. He chews around on everything so I'm guessing that he is teething.

  • DS has had a stuffy nose and has been coughing with no fever but I don't think he is teething. His gums feel hard yet bumpy (not sure if that's a teething start). I've been wanting to call the doctor's to get him in but I don't know if this is doctor worthy.

  • My baby drools all the time, puts everything in his mouth, chews on my shoulder, his hand and toys, and just recently has had a runny nose. No tooth buds yet! He's been showing these signs for over a month. I think the runny nose is due to a cold and he's just getting ready for a tooth to cut through.
