St Alexius

Just curious if anyone has experience delivering at St Alexius in Hoffman Estates? We took our tour recently, but I can't remember if there are showers in the birthing rooms?  Also, if you delivered there AND did so naturally, were you allowed to move around and walk the halls and all that?  Did you end up with a roommate?

I didn't deliver there, but have had several friends and family members who have.

I know nothing about their delivery rooms/procedures, but as far as I know, unless its changed in the last year, all the mother/baby rooms are shared rooms.

i delivered at St. Alexius on 10-10-10 by csection.I was on bedrest a couple times while in this hospital. They do have showers. Every once in awhile I had to share my room. After the birth of my son I was able to have a room by myself.It was great my husband was able to sleep in the spare bed next to me.Good luck with your delivery. keep me posted.I originally wanted to have a natural birth but it wasnt in Gods plans.
