What I learned about Houston

We went to Houston for Christmas and just got back yesterday. I had posted a couple of weeks ago about us moving to TX so DH took me around to see Katy and other areas and this is what I learned about Houston:

1. It's big

2. There are waaay to many Freeways I-10, I-45, 610, 59, 288 ... Argh! I couldn't keep up with every single one and felt soo lost! lol

3. Drivers are out to get you! I thought Atlanta drivers where but yall got us beat!

4. Loved Katy! went thru Cinco Ranch and other areas and the houses are beautiful

5. Love love love all the malls. We went to the Galleria and Memorial Mall(?)

We are so excited! and hoping that everything works out so we can be out there sometime next year.

  • I moved here about 3 years ago and live close to the Memorial City Mall and love it.  Traffic and drivers are not so bad.  Every now and then there are a couple bad apples on the road but overall I really can't complain.  So long as you are off and away from peak times on the freeways you'll be okay.  It's a very family friendly city.  Hope all works well for you :)
  • Tx drivers are crazy!  I've had to learn to be more agressive...  You've got to "man up" or you'll get run off the road!
