Anyone else find Baby Gap runs small?

I have a pair of 12-18 mos baby gap pants that measure exactly the same as a pair of Carter's 9 month pants. WTF? I know brands will differ but this just seems a little insane and make it hard to buy things until you figure out their sizing!

I find Baby Gap fits my baby's age range. But I haven't compared it to other brands. Hmmm.

Yes! This is especially true for the jeans - DD has outgrown all of hers already.

Thankfully I read the online reviews which said they run small. I was very hestiant to buy 12-18 mos jeans for my 4 mos old....and couldn't believe it when they arrived! Their sizing throws me off anyways....what's with the 6-12 mos size? One size for 6 months? I find that hard to believe. Unless all the other brands with their 6-9 and 9-12 are just trying to fool all of us into buying more clothes!

this always cracks me up! although, my 4 month old is 2 lbs lighter and a few inches shorter than my cousin's 10 month old! i guess the way babies range, it technically CAN fit a 6 month old OR a 12 month old (and anywhere in between)! LOL

I must have some that are a few years old because the onesies that I have are 6-9 month and are as big or bigger than the 9-12 month Carters onesies that I have. FWIW DS is 18lbs and 24.5 in

Yes baby Gap does run small. My LO is wearing 9-12mos, but in other brands like Carter's run true to size. Baby Gap is also small with toddler sizes.

DD is still swimming in her 3-6 clothes and she's 6.5 months old!

I've always heard that Gap runs big, but I've only bought toddler/Childrens clothes there. Those run true to size (meaning true to the weight/height range listed). I find that Carters runs wide. It's really all a crap shoot. Different pieces within a brand fit differently too. Both my girls moved into size 6-9 months right around 4 months. My 4.5 yo is wearing size 6 bc she's so tall.

I must have a skinny-minnie because I find gap stuff fits her best and carters are huge.

For us, Carters is all over the place. He has a pair of 6 month pants that fit perfectly. Some of the 9 month pants are almost too small. Yet, the 12 month one-piece outfits are WAY too short, I can barely snap them around the crotch area. That is just not right!
