1st follie check :(

well, after three nights of stims, I had my first follie check this morning and I am a little disappointed. 
I had 3 follies on the right and 4 follies on the left.  I was hoping for a few more because we are going through PGD, but I guess for only 3 nights, I can at least say I am responding. 
I go back on Sunday morning for another check. 

What do you ladies think?

I think you are off to a good start - it's only been 3 nights you'll have more!

After 4 nights I only had a few more follies than that and ended up with 16 eggs at ER.

I also meant to say that I totally understand what you mean by wanting more - for some people getting 7 or 8 eggs out of their cycle might be great but it's just different for PGD.

We need more eggs - because right of the bat we know some will be "abnormal" - plus it's common knowledge that not all the eggs will necessarily be mature, a few won't fertilize, and not all of them will make it to day 5 - and we don't have the option of a 3 day transfer.

It's so hard to think about - so many things have to go just right - the planets have to align.

But it does happen - people have successful PGD cycles all the time! Try not to worry too much!! (easier said than done - I know   I have a good feeling about this for you!!

I was slow to start, and SO worried. My follies doubled almost overnight! I think I had 3 at my first 2 u/s, and ended up with 14.

i am sorry it wasn't what you expected, but keep your chin up, you still have time! I only had 2 at my check on Wed., so i am hoping this morning i will have more.

It is definitely a good start.  Some RE's don't even do day u/s for the first check because it really is your estrogen rising that matters at this point.  If the RE feels you need a boost they will raise your meds.
