would you fess up? (dumb poll for the sake of boredom)

I found out what my husband got me for Christmas.  This year is the first year we have really tried to surprise eachother (we usually just say exactly what we want and that's that), but I found out.  I was up at 2 am taking care of Cohen the other night, and his phone was beeping from a text, so I was going to push the ignore button.  When I saw it was from my brother at midnight, it made me worry something was wrong, so I opened it up, and it was about my Christmas gift.  Indifferent

I know he is pumped about this gift and I'm really excited about his, too, since it is actually a surprise, but I kind of feel guilty going along with it.  As silly as it is, I know I will have to fess up eventually.  So, should I do it before or after he gives me the gift on Christmas?

Funny thing is, I went to Confession later that day, and I told the priest about this, and he chuckled.  LOL!

  • I wouldnt say anything...he seems to be very excited about surprising him....I wouldnt want to ruin that for him.

I agree with Kris. Let him be excited and think he surprised you.

  • He really did surprise me.  I was super excited when I saw the text! Big Smile
  • I wouldn't tell him.  But what did he get you???Big Smile

Golf clubs! Smile  Totally not what I would have expected him to get me (hence the big surprise), but I've really been wanting some for 3 or 4 years now!

  • I don't know that I'd ever bother bringing it up!  It's not a life altering confession and I think I'd just let it go.
  • I wouldn't tell.  Let him think it is a surprise.  No harm in keeping it a secret.

  • I would not say a word... he is excited and I would give him this one..
  • Okay, but now I am wondering...does he know what I got him?!  Because I am so sure he doesn't, but what if he does?  LOL!
  • I would tell.  I'm really bad at lying and I wouldn't be able to fake being surprised when I opened the gift.
