I understand that pre-seed helps in that it is not comfortable to have sex if you are dry, and that pre-seed is "sperm friendly" in that it does not destroy sperm as other lubricants can. Does any one know if that is the only benefit of pre-seed or does pre-seed mimic fertile CM enough to sustain sperm for several days in the fallopian tubes? The manufacturer claims it has the several similar properties to fertile CM, but does that similarity translate to helping the sperm live?
I know sperm gets nourishment and can live longer from the CM we produce on our own and that's why it helps to have sex a couple of days before O, but for times when we don't get enough EWCM or wet CM prior to O, would pre-seed help in these cases? Or, would it just not kill the sperm immediately, like KY, but leave the sperm to die in a few hours anyway?
Re: pre-seed, no harm but no help?
My DH has it stuck in his head that PreSeed is too sticky, so he made us use KY last time....I think the pressure of TTC was getting to his head.
I have a scheme to empty the KY bottle and fill it back up with PreSeed to see if he notices! muahahahaha!

I recently heard that the only recommended sperm friendly lubricant was warm water and nothing else (other than our bodies own natural lubricant). It was news to me. I guess it kind of makes sense though.
I don't really like preseed. It gets kind of sticky so that in and of itself does make me wonder about its effectiveness.

Going by past experiences of having sex in a jacuzzi, warm water is not as comfortable as it first sounds. I guess I'd rather use preseed (haven't but would consider it).
Yeah, the water thing doesn't sound pleasant. Post baby #1 and a vaginal delivery, things are not quite the "same" down there, so lube is now necessary, when before it never was.
So, hopefully in trying for #2 pre-seed will be fine and work.
