s/o unexpected guest. Question about Santa

I highly doubt SIL is bringing any toys/gifts for niece.  Allie is getting a crap load from santa.  We have been saving and planning for months.  She is getting few big ticket items. 

Should we hold off on some of the stuff and wrap it and say it is from us, for when SIl and niece leaves?  I don't want niece to feel bad for her mom's stupidity.  

Should I go out and buy niece several small things and consider it done?

Should I make SIL worry about it and let Allie still enjoy what planned?

    I would give her all the things you had already planned for her.  If SIL didn't buy her anything, I would pick up a few small things for niece.

    I probably would hold either a few of the big items back or some of the small and give them to A once SIL et al leave. My parents always did this when certain cousins stayed with us at the holidays because their mother couldn't afford much of a Christmas. A will never remember whether she got said items at Christmas or a week later.
