I think the commercialization and mass capitilism that has become Christmas is DISGUSTING and I am not even religious. I think most of you will spend too much money on your LOs for the holidays and it will only teach them to be greedy and unappreciative like "most" Americans.

Well my UO is that I don't like to judge how others how to spend their money. Apparently this is unpopular around here.

-if you don't actually do yoga in those "yoga pants", you can call them whatever you want but you probably shouldn't be wearing them in public like you're dressed for the day. Very few people can make them work as real clothes. And I have no idea why anyone would be referring to them at all on TB unless you're looking for durable workout clothes. I must be missing those posts.

-I like the political correctness of "Happy Holidays"/"Holiday party" and I'm rarely politically correct. If not everyone celebrates Christmas, why would it be called a "christmas party"? That doesn't even make sense. It's obviously a party to celebrate the holiday season.  Every holiday, even other people's holidays *gasp*, have an actual name. If a school, office, or other place with a melting pot of people has an event in December or sign up, it *should* be called a "holiday party" or "Happy Holidays" embracing everyone's holidays. If it's your HOUSE, it's another story. Put Merry Christmas up till your heart's content.

No kidding...wow I have read alot of Niki's posts today and they all sound self-righteous and judgemental to me.  And then this one is just down-right rude.  Apparently we live in the same area but it appears our values and opinions couldn't be more different.  I have always said that people in Oklahoma are so friendly and warm and welcoming...can't say she gives that same impression.

I judge parents that let their kids stand up in shopping carts at the supermarket (seat part), or under the cart where you'd usually put things like bottled water. Also when they let their wild kids run around, making a mess and running into people. Just annoying, control your kids, people!

4. My Unpopop is that I get literally angered when I see news stories where businesses have to change their signs from Merry Christmas to Happy Holidays because someone had a snit fit.  Christmas is an actual holiday, its the proper name for the holiday. I don't go flipping out if someone comes up to me and says Happy Hanukkah or Happy Kwanzaa. If that's how I'm greeted I will reply with "same to you". You can respect other peoples religions without having to sacrifice your own. Political Correctness makes my skin crawl.

This. I hate that daycare doesn't celebrate Halloween but "something else", Same with Christmas, they are having a "sharing celebration" or something like that.

At least today I still have my Christmas Party in my office

I'm not "officially" supposed to be here, but whatever. I am.

I actually like the fact that it's a "Holiday Party" now. I was never offended by the fact that it was a "Christmas Party" before, but that excludes a lot of people. Sure, the Jewish kids could still participate, but wouldn't they wonder why they weren't special enough to get a "Hannukah Party"?

Looks like we have a new bumpie in the competition for escalating a debate with name calling and being an assshole for no reason. Sweet.

I don't like wine, coffee, pumpkin flavored anything, or eggnog.

I think the dumb movies are hilarious. I don't need a movie to be oscar nominated or brilliantly written. Sometimes I just like to veg out and laugh at stupid stuff.

As examples, something very basic,  they cannot count change correctly without a cashier register (ok, it was invented to make cashiers efficient but that lead to people just forgetting how to count numbers).

At work, I notice that Americans make a HUGE deal about everything that is assigned to them, hold a zillion meetings, discuss over and over and some still do not get it. On the other hand, Asians do their work without noise, do not brag about their work (even though they are contributing more work than their American counter parts). It is a cultural thing and I do believe Americans get less work done compared to their counter parts. 

Also Americans talk toooooooooo much and are overly animated in their talks. Most of the work day goes in talking, talking and some more talking about everything under the sun. It definitely took some time for me to understand the culture. 

My BIL is Indian. He's a moron. And never.ever.shuts.up. So there you have it. I nonimate you the dumbest poster in this thread.
