Colic

Does anyone else out there have a colicy baby? I think my LO has it going by the symptoms. He is basically fussing or crying anytime he is awake and nothing can soothe him except my breast. I it does soothe him, its only for a couple minutes. When he was crying last night I turned the blow dryer on and he stopped immediately. I don't know if this means he has colic or if I just have a fussy baby?

Yup, colic here.  Kinda sounds the same as yours.  Nursing was the one thing that calmed him at first.  Only once he was a bit older like a month and a half to two months did holding and singing really soothe him.  Now my LO is almost 3 months and I can tell a huge difference in the amount of fuss.  I would check for s/s of reflux too if I were you.  I think my LO had mild reflux and my doc put us on zantac but I didn't ask to refill it cause he's much better.  That and try some gripe water.  In the beginning my LO never seemed happy and at night it was like all hell broke loose.  Hang in there!

I was just gonna post something about colic.  I think DS has it, too.  From about 7pm-11pm, he screams.  He has other symptoms, too.  I was wondering if this is something that I need to take to the pediatrician for a diagnosis or something I can treat at home without a doctor visit.
