Need thoughts and prayers... updated.

My dh just went in to surgery. He is having a large tumor removed from his inner ear. We should find out today if the tumor damaged his hearing bones. If it did, he will have to get prosthetic hearing bones today too. It's going to be a long day of surgery... We are in bham. Please say a prayer for good news!

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately the situation was worse than we ever expected. The tumor was very large and very aggressive. The surgeon had to take out all of Michael's hearing bones. The tumor had also started to creep toward the brain and was very close to taking one of his facial nerves. Thank God the doctors got it out before it did.

 It's hard to explain everything that is going on to DH because he can't hear now. But, he has a bone-anchored hearing aid that we should be able to plug back on tomorrow to help with communication.

Thank you for the continued prayers. It looks like this is something we are going to be battling for a while.
