  • Oooo Thanks! I am excited now. We leave tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 7:30am. I have been to Quebec a few times, in various placed, but I haven't been to Quebec City since I was a young teenager. I will have my camera at ALL TIMES. We should become facebook friends - I'll be posting heaps of photos. :)

We're not making a big deal about what we do for this trip, we're just going to wander and go with the flow...since it's only for one day/night, but we're going to live it up..just for the one night. I can not wait to EAT!

I could use your French language skills right about now. I put Hannah in French Immersion school so her life will have more options etc etc...except now she can speak a language I can't - with her friends from school - and I am in the dark. I mean, I can speak/understand some French (actually, I can read it well...) I just can't *speak* it well. Hannah just thinks it's fun to trip me up with her "skill that I don't have"...*sigh*

Um, I rambled...anyway, I'm just counting on DH's Australian accent to make us sound like tourists. ;)

  • Ahh, I am truly excited for you. Qu?bec city is such a gem. It has changed so much in the past few years too, so you'll see tons of new things!

When I go, that's usually how it is, I just go with the flow. You can do so much walking and see so many beautiful things, beautiful shops and wonderful restaurants.

Don't worry about the French - it's such a tourist spot that most merchants speak English. Usually not very well, but they do speak English.

Send me a pm and we'll talk FB. I have pictures of Qu?bec city on my FB but I have my staff party tonight so I won't be home until later, so I don't know if we'll have a chance to connect before you leave. Either way, you can compare!

Enjoy your trip, make sure you eat "de la tire" (I have no idea what it is in English) if they have some (which they may not, if they do it's all reserve from last spring) and you have to go on the pier in front of Ch?teau Frontenac - so romantic!

    Yay - have fun!!
