My husband gets paid by the job, not the hour. Which is why I'm nervous..no "set" income. DH carries the insurance, but it's not very good, high deductibles..
I work at a hospital, I worked there for 4 years and quit, started again in June of 10. I work "per diem" in Xray (what I went to school for, I need experience) and I work 24 hours per 2 weeks in another job there (so I have some guaranteed hours). Neither of my jobs have benefits, but I needed the experience in Xray so I took it.
My question is, I know I can get the 12 weeks off if I so choose.. but I don't earn any sick or vacation hours with my positions. Is there a program out there that can help?
I've even started applying with different companies so that I can earn vacation and sick time, to get some pto..
Re: Maternity Leave question..long
I don't really know of any programs that you could apply for besides Badger care (state insurance). But maybe you could talk to a social worker at the hospital you work at and they might give you a better idea of what you qualify for....
Good Luck Fellow August Mommy!!
Badger care for Medical costs.
You might want to look into short term disability insurance...although if you are already KU they might consider it a pre-existing condition.
