Got an induction date today!!!

Well... I have been dilated and effaced since my 36 week visit.  As of last Friday I was nearly 4cm according to my doctor.  She said on Friday if I had not had him over the weekend to come back today for a recheck and we'd make further plans.  Turns out I am a solid 4cm now so she scheduled my induction for WEDNESDAY!!!!  The emotions are a tad overwhelming....excited, scared, nervous, not sure what to expect, etc. etc.  I'm hoping to be maybe even 5 by the time I go in.  She said I am a "favorable candidate" for it considering how quickly I am progressing.  So crazy that I will be a MOM on Wednesday...so surreal I do have to admit, I told my husband I think until the labor really begins and then our baby boy is here, it won't feel real...anyone else with me on that one??

Definitely with you on the "it won't be completely real till he's here" sentiment. Though all these contrax have been making it fairly real that I will be in labor soon (scary!) Good luck with the induction! Hopefully everything will go smoothly and quickly for you!!

I can relate as I just scheduled my C for Thursday today   It is quite amazing that we're going to be parents very shortly.  These next few days are going to creep by, I think.  Hooray for a date!
