NTTGPR: What do you eat when you're sick?

I was up all night with a stomach bug....ugghhh.  This morning DH bought me some animal crackers, ginger ale and life savers.  I may need something with more substance later today.  What are you favorite sick foods?

Usually nothing since when Im sick I can't taste anything thanks to a stuffy nose...

I personally love soup when I'm sick. Chicken noodle and chicken tortilla soup are my faves-California Tortilla makes a great soup if you have one nearby that your DH can stop at

It's weird, but when I'm sick with a cold, I always want pizza..lol

I don' t get stomach bugs that often. I can't even remember when my last one was. But I remember when I was little, my mom would feed me crackers and flat sprite.

I have heard over and over from my mom that the BRAT diet is the best when sick:

B - Bananas, R - Rice, A - Applesauce, and T - Toast.

I usually eat crackers or some toast with cinnamon and water. If I can I try to get some chicken soup, even if it's just broth.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies!  I think *fingers crossed* the worst is over.  Lot's of good ideas...I will have to send DH to the store again later.

This is what my mom, the nurse, always said, too. Bland, beige foods are always safe.

Ug, I'm getting over a flu bug as well. I couldn't get anything down yesterday (I was mentally jumping for joy when I would keep some ice chips down)
