I am wanting to get Madi a baby doll for her first birthday. I want something that is going to last, but that is also age appropriate. (Saving a Cabbage Patch for a few years, lol).
My LO loved to play with my hair at that age and it took me forever to find a babydoll that had hair. All the "my first babydolls" are bald, It was a Madam Alexander doll. I also put a link for another doll of hers that is plush. The style me pretty one says, I think, ages 3 and up. If you don't give her the accessories and take out the hair ribbons you won't have any problems. She is cuter than the picture online.
I like their other dolls they have that have hair as well, but like you I am trying to keep her from pulling out the hair or eating it. I like these because they are soft yet bendable so you can put them into different positions. My friend also told me that preemie size sleepers fit this doll as well, which I think is pretty cool
No I am really conflicted. I love both of the ones you ladies posted. Ahhhh! And DH just says, "I don't care. You're the girl. Whatever you think." LOL. Decisions, decisions.

I am loving Madame Alexander. Going to stick with a bald baby for now because I don't want her pulling the hair out.
Thoughts on these two:

Both of those are cute. Madam A. makes such sweet faces.
They are both really cute, the first one would be my pick though
We are thinking of getting Aubrey the Abby doll from PBK for Christmas.

This is the one that Kennedy has. Although the hands, feet and head are hard plastic, the body is soft. She carries this doll around everywhere!
