Does DC chew with their mouth open?

My DD makes the most annoying smacking sounds while she eats because she chews with her mouth open.. do all kids do this at this age?

She just had a lollipop from Halloween and she sounded like a horse or something.. !!

She might just need a few reminders, which I'm sure you're giving her!  Also, if her nose is stuffy, it might make it worse.

My kids both do it from time to time (the 10 y/o hardly ever, thank God!)  They grow more aware of it as they grow older.  When it happens we just remind them that there's no "see food" at our table!

This is one of my biggest pet peeves.  I can not stand to hear someone chew/smack etc while eating.  I work with a couple of people that sound I absolutely can not be in the same room with while they eat.  They sound like a horse eating an apple.  Makes me wonder if their parents ever taught them table manners.

Im constantly telling L to chew with his mouth shut.  K&K arent too bad but every now and then I have to remind them as well.  I just ask them to please chew with their mouth closed/shut.

Sometimes she does and it tooooootally gags me.

When I point it out to her, it becomes a game and she'll do it on purpose, so I try to just do something like making a point of covering my mouth and she'll instinctively copy me. Such power!
