Last year, we had a slumber party for my daughter's 8th birthday. We did a pool party for 2 hours. Then, we had activities, karaoke, dinner and cake in the party room. When we got back to our house, I hoped that they would wind down. I rented a couple of movies. They were so hyper. I know, I should have expected it. I thought they would be asleep by 11pm, since most of them go to bed by 9. They stayed up past 1:30 am.
My daughter's friend just had a slumber party. They stayed up until 3 am.
Any ideas on things to keep them busy.
Re: Slumber party for girls
My DD just turned 10 this past weekend and she had a slumber party. We had pizza, cake, and ice cream. I broke them into 2 teams and they did a scavenger hunt. (We had 7 girls because 1 cancelled, but I would recommend an even number if you can do it.) The winning team got to do the next activity first, a dance off. I got the new Dance Party 2 for Wii, and seriously, that was the hit of the party. After everyone worked up an appetite, we went outside to roast marshmallows and make s'mores and had hot chocolate. Then they came in and did makeovers on each other and put tattoos on. We posed for pictures and danced some more. They were up until 3 am, but my neice told me that it was the best party she had been to.
