Second time mommies

Are any other second time mommies worried about changing dc #1's life. I am finding myself constantly worried about this. DS has a very close friend the same age with a baby sister and he loves her and has been asking for years when he is going to get a sibling, and I know he'll be excited when we tell him, but I'm just worried about how he'll feel when baby actually gets here. I'm an only child so I think that is making my fears worse, since I have no experience with what he will be feeling.

I'm not, but DD is only 1 so it's totally different.

On the contrary I am REALLY excited for her to have a sibling.  Everywhere we go she points out babies and I know how fun it was for me growing up with a brother so I'm looking forward to it.  She'll be fine, yes there will be an adjustment period but I'm just going to try to balance my time and have her "help" a lot with baby.

Sometimes I worry but overall I think it will be great for DS.

To a certain extent. I guess I have the age old concern regarding having enough love . . . but I know that works out.

I'm not really worried about DD and having a new baby other than the fact of juggling both of them since they will both be young.  She loves babies and always want's to go see them when we are out.  I am really excited to be having them so close together.

I feel that way too. I worry that DD may not understand why we can't be with her ALL THE TIME. She is our princess and as much as I want her to have a sib, I do worry about her reaction once she figures out that the baby is here to stay.
