my first goal was to make it to 3 months.. then 6... now I guess 9 and ultimately a year! I used to pump 8-9 times a day.. I am down to 6 times a day and I'm having a hard time getting that last one in... my LC said 6 should be my absolute minimum and that I shouldn't go more than 5-6 hours at night.. well, I last pump around 10/11pm or so.. and not again till 7am..
I think I just need some motivation or a kick or something! lol I want to give the baby bears BM so that's why I'm sticking to it.. I just dread pumping! (sigh)

Can I just say that you rock?!!!!!
I'm not sure why the LC said that minimum. Are they getting formula too, or is that # in order to have solely enough EBM? My supply did tank once we went to less than 3 feedings/day, maybe some people have supply issues sooner.
Still, you rock, and you deserve a big shiny medal for everything you have done to give them a good start. Keep it up momma!!!!!!!
Can you save a fave show to only watch while pumping?
I think it's awesome and amazing that you've been able to keep going. 1 year is a great goal - you're so close!
all in all, my supply hasn't fluctuated much.. their intake on the other hand definitely has! there was a point where I was making more than enough for both.. then they started taking more and we had to supplement and now that they are eating 3 meals a day, they would rather eat than drink (this is a constant struggle) so they aren't taking as much from the bottle.. so right now all their bottles are breast milk and I use formula in cereal..
and not sure why LC said 6 times a day.. but I'm so stuck on that number... if I go to bed at 9ish because I'm tired, I set an alarm for 11 so I can get up and pump one more time... crazy huh?? lol
ooh, good idea!
I feel you mama. I hate hate hate pumping but Ryan is possibly the most impatient little boy there is and gives me the face that tells me that he figured out that the bottle is less work on his part. He'll humor me for a max of 5 minutes.
I'm just trying to make it until Christmas. Then March. Then... we'll see. I think the only reason I'm still sticking with it is that I guilt myself into doing it. That doesn't mean I enjoy it! 4.5 months until he can start solids! I'm hoping he continues being interested in what his dad is doing.. he might be interested in starting BLW earlier!
Favorite thing to do while pumping is reading on my Droid. I have the Kindle app and a fake Kindle app. I'm on the third Eragon book and I have all of the "The Girl Who.." books to start on next.
Don't feel bad mama, you're doing an awesome thing for them and it's great that you've gone this long producing for 2 babies. That's amazing and I am totally in awe of you.

I agree with this, as I hate pumping. Can you pump before you go to sleep at 9? If the babies are letting you sleep longer then 11pm I wouldn't be getting up. Everything I read says the more sleep you can get in a row from when you first go to sleep makes you feel more restful the magic number being at least 3 hours but more is great. I agree that I feel more rested when DD lets me get a few hours of sleep in before she wakes me up.
If your LOs get up at night I would pump after you are done taking care of them. Otherwise I may just try and get more pumping in during the day and get a good nights rest. however I don't pump so I don't know what that would do to your supply.
Good Luck.
