Hey lady! I need your thoughts on something. You got AC the kitchen last year for Christmas right? She was the same age last year at Christmas that Aubrey will be this year since they are both October babies. How did she do with it in the beginning?
We are planning on getting Aubrey the Kidkraft Retro kitchen as her Santa gift this year. I mainly decided to go with it for two reasons 1) her physical therapist office has a little tykes kitchen and it's one of the first things she goes to when we get there and 2) since her 2nd birthday isn't until next October, and I think she could be enjoying a kitchen well before then we have pretty much decided to go ahead and get it.
So I figured I'd ask you how AC did with it those first few months, and also what kind of accessories did you buy at first to go with it? Thanks for your help ![]()
Re: **Brooke**
That was our original thoughts too. She pulls up on everything around here now, and wants to always pull up on stuff in the kitchen and really loves to open the cabinets and get pots and pans out when I am in there so I thought this might make her feel like she has her "own" kitchen.
Hey!
Sorry I am just now getting this. The kitchen as been the best investment as far as toys by far. We purchased the KidKraft pink retro kitchen off of amazon last year and she LOVES it! She still plays with it all of the time and did from the moment she received it. We also purchased some of the wooden/cloth food sets from Target. We also got her some of Melissa and Doug (you can usually find great prices at TJMaxx or on Amazon), and then some bowls, measuring cups, etc that PBK had on clearance last year. We only got her 1 or 2 things last year and have added to her food collection for V-day, Easter, this birthday, etc.
Last year, Target also had a super cute wooden/canvas shopping cart that was on clearance. She loves it as well! I think that this is a great gift to develop motor skills as well as their little imaginations!
