Past 24 weeks - update

Thanks for all the great words of support.

My appointment on Friday went really well too. Great news - the bleed from my SCH has finally resolved! There is still some blood - but very little. My body has absorbed most of it.

But - because my bleed was so large and was there for so long I'm still at high risk for pre term labor. Meaning I'm still on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. The blood was in between my uterus and the membrane for the amniotic sack. So my bag of waters has not been attached to the uteran wall on a large part of the uterus. Also they don't know the degree that the blood weakened the membrane to to the amniotic sack - and these last couple of months is when it grows the fastest. So that means my water could break at any time, or I can go full term. Who knows, there is no way of telling what will happen. Any sign of weakening or labor and I will be put in the hospital. So my goal is to stay at home.....until February!!!!

As a side note - the corner of my placenta did reattach some time ago, but because that is where the bleed came from they are carefully watching the growth of my LO. He is doing great - but they said they need to make sure that he doesn't slow down or stop growing. 

I'm still very excited even though it's going to be a long winter.

Thanks for the update - so glad to hear it was good news.

One silver lining - bedrest during the winter is maybe a touch better than summer? Hunker down with good books, warm sweaters, hot cocoa, and all other kinds of things to keep you busy. I was on bed rest for the summer and wanting to get outside was hard for me. I know that it feels like everyday is soooo long, it will be so worth it when you get closer and closer to that handsome little guy! T&P and hugs to you!

Im just a little ahead of you, due feb 10th and on full bed rest, too. Well make it thru the winter!
