Who knew matching pj's would get everyone so up in arms! Heidisean you've been a good sport! Who cares if it's cheesy...why worry so much about being cool. It's in the privacy of your own home. Hell I bet their are hipsters out there doing this for the retro irony of it. To each their own and it's harmless and if it makes you happy DO IT! lol, not that you need my approval.
I cannot get myself organized enough to even contemplate matching pj's not to mention that my DH would just laugh at the thought of spending money for either of us to have pj's that nice...we sleep in old t-shirts generally. But I think it's cool you like to do this together.
Heidi you know what... I don't get it and I don't want to do it but I think it's great that you have a tradition and that your girls will be able to look back at photos and remember a fun Christmas and laugh at how dorky their parents are. And I don't mean that sarcastically even though I think it sounds that way. I really do think that traditions are important and if this is going to be one of yours that's great.
I agree. Matchy pj's are NMS, but a lot of things are NMS. That doesn't make what you do ridiculous to me. I'm sure your kids love it at this age.
WOW! I leave and come back and get all this attention! I already bought my girls pj's but since Giada is 4 and the new one will only be about 1 mo they didn't have matching ones but I did get Holiday ones for them. I am still looking for ones for me and dh and WILL be buying them. I will be getting him some sort of lounge pants and plain t-shirt and then some for myself (maybe matching-maybe just not) depending on what I find.
I want to thank everyone for the responses but I think out of all the responses only 1 person actually answered my question. You ladies have to start reading the question (post) and if you are not going to answer it...move on instead of being snarky!
Funny joke. Dumb holiday tradition. Sorry, I'm trying to be nice, but come on. Family pj's? Do men really wear pj's? I thought they all just slept in their underwear. Or nude. Perhaps that's skewing my view of the whole matching family pj's, but I've never known a man that wore pajamas. I don't really wear them, either.
this completely. i think you just nailed why they look so dorky (to me) on men. I simply can NOT imagine dh wearing any sort of "real" pajamas. but then to make them christmas-y AND match-y?
Re: What are your fav family pjs from
actually, I wear a sexy mrs. claus outfit for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning. KINKY.
In all seriousness, I adore cheesy holiday pjs so I wear holiday pajamas, but I don't drag MH into it because he doesn't sleep in pjs.
