I kind of wondered what Michael C's collection would have looked like.

Thought Gretchen's collection was total FUG. And her fabrics looked like bad 1970's couch upholstery. LOVE Mondo in general. But understood what they were saying about his collection "leaning towards young" people. But he is much more exciting to me than Gretchen.

You can see Michael C's collection. google it. It was actually really pretty. There wasn't one single thing in Gretchen's line I would wear. I'd have worn plenty of Andy's, MIchael C's, and Mondo's. DH watched it w/ me, and he said he'd divorce me if I wore anything from Gretchen's line. As a guy, he said not one item was sexy, as they said.

I haven't watched it yet...on my dvr for this weekend.  unfortunetely heard who won on facebook this morning!  I have not liked much of anything that Gretchen has made in any of the challenges.  She is too earthy crunchy for me.  She also can't take any one else's opinions and is so stuck on her way being the only way.  I never understood why they kept her around or what the judges see in her work.

I am so annoyed by the outcome!!! They always, always pick the one I hate the MOST. I feel like it's a conspiracy and I should apologize to Mondo for wanting him to win. The other thing that completely annoyed me? That they (esp. Nina) were saying Mondo's clothes were aimed at "too young" an audience. Like that's ever mattered before. I'm sorry, but what person over age, like, 25 is going to wear some of the other collections of winners in the past? Michael Sebelia, anyone??? Over-the-top, couture-ish, completely non-wearable for anyone, regardless of age. God this bugged the crap out of me. They are soooooo inconsistent. And FWIW, I loved the long polka-dot dress and would wear it if I could!

Totally stupid logic on the voting.  As if anyone could wear Christian's collars out in public!  Are they trying to stock Kohl's with "running through thunder?"  Gretchen's collection was absolutely terrible.

And R, I totally disagree with you about that skull t-shirt/tunic.  I own NOTHING jeweled but I would buy that tshirt in a heartbeat if he sold it.  I would pay a shitload for it and love it so much.  (Leggings + platform pumps with a thick rounded toe.  OMG).

Also, Gretchen still can't style anything.  Her model at judging looked like a short Fleetwood Mac groupie with that shiny green pleather hippy bodice.  Gross.

If Gretchen's clothes are "current" then I'm in big trouble.  I knew Mondo probably wouldn't win b/c he couldn't tone down his costume factor.  I would have been great if he could have.  He probably would have won if he'd just cut the damn sleeves off of his polka dot dress.  Dumb a$$.  Michael Kors pretty much tells you what to do to win and you ignore him?  He kind of deserves to lose for that.  Andy could have won if his collection had a bit more pizzaz and he'd thrown in a sweater & 1 long dress.  His 2nd look was awful, like he didn't even try!

I was really sad that Michael C didn't get to compete because I thought his collection was INCREDIBLE.  Much better than either Andy or Wretchen.
