Anyone else has a LO who tries to make them self gag when they are upset? Landon will stick his fingers down his throat during his tantrums sometimes. I try to ignore this kind of behavior, but it is hard not to because the last thing I want to do is clean up puke. I will tell him to stop and he just smiles at me. He only does this when he wants the attention. Ugh! The parts of toddlerhood you enjoy.
Re: This gagging needs to stop!
uncool!
Andrew does that but not when he's mad or intentionally really!
No experience here, thank goodness. I hate puke.
Paige did have her first public tantrum yesterday, though. Daycare. She didn't want to leave (or, more like, she didn't want to put down the toys she had). She laid on the floor, in front of no less than 20 children and 10 teachers and thrashed around like a fish out of water and screamed. A couple of the older (4-5 year old) kids were like, "what's wrong with Paige?"
Mortified. But at least, I'd think, DCPs are used to tantrums.
I feel like I have the only child who is thrilled to be dropped off at daycare, and then cries when we pick her up. Like, really, are we that bad?
