Hi ladies.
I'm having a down TTC day right now (hello, CD1 & cycle 10) so I was looking at some quotes to find inspiration. These all spoke to me so I figured I would share them here with you all. Maybe someone else needs a little hope in their life right now too.
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there semed to be no hope at all."
-- Dale Carnegie
"Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers."
--Robert Ingersoll
"Hope is the companion of power, and mother of success; for who so hopes strongly has within him the gift of miracles."
-- Samuel Smiles
"Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th."
--Julie Andrews
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
--Thomas A. Edison
"It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top."
--Henry Ward Beecher
Do you have any inspirational quotes to share?

Re: Inspirational Quotes
A friend of mine shared this with me and I've loved it ever since:
"To hope means to be ready at every moment for that which is not yet born, and yet not become desperate if there is no birth in our lifetime." -Emily Dickinson
I love quotes! These are great, Saucy
Some from my blog:
"I hope we can be happy where we are, be grateful for our blessings now, here accept that challenge that is ours and make the most of it, and not be envious of others." Ezra Taft Benson
"Hope is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier." Author Unknown
"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." Ralph Waldo EmersonTTC #2
I have failed my way to success! - Thomas Edison
I love this quote.
Sorry about CD1 Saucy :-( Thanks for sharing the quotes, it's nice to have some inspirational perspective. I included a quote that I like below:
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt
Hope that your day gets better!
Thanks Saucy!! Really needed that.
esp one below:
Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
--Thomas A. Edison

My favorite CD 1 inspiration is the Serenity Prayer:
"God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen."
I dont think this is specific to TTC quotes, but it always makes me feel better during any bad day:
"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Sorry about CD1
I have this in my siggy! It's been a great message for me to see every day.

I love this one! I always like Ralph Emerson's quotes. So inspirational.
TTC #2
Saucy I can't tell you how much I love this post. I am sorry about CD1
I have always loved this quote but it seems to comfort me even more through this journey of TTC.
Jeremiah 17:8
"He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
I'm sorry about CD1 Saucy! I have been pulling for you, and will continue to keep you in my thoughts. Thanks for this thread though, I love reading all these quotes. My favorite quote:
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.
It's a great quote! Go ahead and tie yourself a big ol' knot and hang on tight! We have all been at the end of our ropes (for varying reasons of course!).
It's nice to know that you have your fellow Bumpies waiting below with a net to catch you, if you decide you hands get tired from holding on so tight :-) Chin up girl
ETA- Punctuation
All good quotes.
These are lyrics from one of my favorite songs that I'd like to share:
that you still have a reason to sing,
'cause the pain you've been feeling,
can't compare to the joy that's coming
so hold on, you got to wait for the light
press on, just fight the good fight
because the pain you've been feeling,
it's just the dark before the morning
Thanks, busybee. Hugs right back at ya!
What song is that? I need to download that one ASAP....love the message.

Just a warning, since I don't know how you roll - it's a Christian song/artist.
It's called "Before the Morning" by Josh Wilson. It's available through iTunes. It's been my TTC anthem and it gives me a lot of comfort.

Oh yes that's another favorite of mine! Need to add that one to my repertoire.
Thanks, Maybug. I'm pulling for you too!

Wow that song is exactly what I needed right now.
I'm a Christian but honestly, with all that my dad has been going through and this crazy TTC journey, I've been questioning Him a lot.
Thank you so much for sharing that. You have no idea how much I needed to hear that message.

Thanks, steff! I know you've been having a hard time lately too so just know that you've been in my thoughts and prayers. We can stay hopeful for each other.

I'm so sorry for CD1, hun. ((hugs))
I am a quote-aholic. Here's one that I love from a website called storypeople.com (they have tons of great one-liners - touching, funny, etc.):
"This is a giant block of whatever is most difficult for you to carry & trust me on this, you'll carry it more times than you can count until you decide that's exactly what you want to do most & then it won't weigh a thing anymore."

Thanks, Kathy! I love that quote. My list of favorite quotes is growing like crazy today!!
Looks like we're on the same cycle now and not too far apart on CD's. I hope this is it for BOTH of us!!
