Inspirational Quotes

Hi ladies. :)

I'm having a down TTC day right now (hello, CD1 & cycle 10) so I was looking at some quotes to find inspiration. These all spoke to me so I figured I would share them here with you all. Maybe someone else needs a little hope in their life right now too.

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there semed to be no hope at all."
-- Dale Carnegie

"Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers."
--Robert Ingersoll

"Hope is the companion of power, and mother of success; for who so hopes strongly has within him the gift of miracles."
-- Samuel Smiles

"Perseverance is failing 19 times and succeeding the 20th."
--Julie Andrews

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time."
--Thomas A. Edison

"It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top."
--Henry Ward Beecher

    Sorry about CD1 Saucy :-( Thanks for sharing the quotes, it's nice to have some inspirational perspective. I included a quote that I like below:

    My favorite CD 1 inspiration is the Serenity Prayer:

    "God grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change;
    courage to change the things I can;
    and wisdom to know the difference.

    Living one day at a time;
    Enjoying one moment at a time;
    Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
    Taking, as He did, this sinful world
    as it is, not as I would have it;
    Trusting that He will make all things right
    if I surrender to His Will;
    That I may be reasonably happy in this life
    and supremely happy with Him
    Forever in the next.
    Amen."

    I dont think this is specific to TTC quotes, but it always makes me feel better during any bad day:

    "Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."

    Saucy I can't tell you how much I love this post.  I am sorry about CD1 :(

    I have always loved this quote but it seems to comfort me even more through this journey of TTC.

    Jeremiah 17:8

    All good quotes.

    These are lyrics from one of my favorite songs that I'd like to share:

    Would dare you, would you dare, to believe,
    that you still have a reason to sing,
    'cause the pain you've been feeling,
    can't compare to the joy that's coming

    so hold on, you got to wait for the light
    press on, just fight the good fight
    because the pain you've been feeling,
    it's just the dark before the morning

    I'm so sorry you're feeling down Saucy. Keep your chip up and here's a PIP for you:

    I'm so sorry for CD1, hun. ((hugs))

    I am a quote-aholic. Here's one that I love from a website called storypeople.com (they have tons of great one-liners - touching, funny, etc.):

    "This is a giant block of whatever is most difficult for you to carry & trust me on this, you'll carry it more times than you can count until you decide that's exactly what you want to do most & then it won't weigh a thing anymore."

    "For a long time there were only your footprints & laughter in our dreams & even from such small things, we knew we could not wait to love you forever." ~storypeople.com

    I am not really into quotes, but wanted to say sorry for CD 1, Saucy.

    I was in your shoes 12 days ago, CD1 of cycle #10, and know how you feel.I am sending you bug hugs and hope you find something to brighten your day!

    Yeah, it pretty much sucks big hairy balls to see the double digit cycle number for the first time, doesn't it? Blah!

    Thanks, Ricola, and I'm hoping and praying so fricken hard that this is it for both of us! No more CD1s, please! :)
