38 1/2 Weeks and Counting...

Alot of you are friends with me on FB, and I posted pics on there, but some of you aren't so I thought I'd share here too since I haven't posted many pregnancy pics on here. Anyway, this is me at 38 1/2 weeks. I really thought I would be in the hospital around this time since this is my 3rd baby, but she is hanging in there! At my last app. on Wed, I was only fingertip dialated. I go again this coming Wed and am hoping for some kind of progress. I've had a couple of things happen yesterday and today that make me think the time could be near though (losing mucous plug and TONS of pressure "down there"), but I know that those things could mean nothing, really. I am so ready though...hospital bags are packed, house is in order, nursery is done, her clothes are washed, etc. Now, it's just a waiting game. And I am getting so tired of waiting! My Dr. said we could talk about scheduling an induction this week, but I don't really want to go that route. This is my last pregnancy ever, so I really want the same experience I had with the first 2 of not knowing when it's gonna happen and being able to labor at home for most of it. If I get to 40 weeks and she still isn't here, I may consider it though!

I'm 39 weeks and 2 days, so I understand the frustration of waiting. I was kind of hoping there was something to the full moon theory, but it seemed to be a dud for me. I'm scheduled for a c-section on Friday, which is my actual due date.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer!

ETA: I'm also only a fingertip dilated. I go back in Wednesday as well for a check on my progress, but I'm not holding my breath for anything
