AW: We have a house!

So we flew down from Alexandria (VA) this week to look for a house. My mom came along to watch the baby, who never fussed and still napped like a champ (sometimes in the car while we were inside looking at houses). We were ready to make an offer on one house Tuesday and found out that it had just gone under contract.

Of course things work out like they should (we've done a lot of praying this week!) and we found an even better house on Wednesday. We put in an offer on Thursday evening and they countered on Friday. It really is the perfect house for us. We move in the week of Thanksgiving and I could not be more excited! Cue Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama

We ended up choosing the Oak Mountain school district, and thanks to everyone who offered advice about Birmingham schools - it really helped

Congratulations, and welcome!  Alabama is most definitely sweet!  I have a friend who has kids in Oak Mountain schools and she has nothing but good things to say about it!!
