Leg pain

Anyone's legs hurt? My inner thighs on both legs hurt so freaking bad. They're red, warm to the touch, kind of hard, starting to bruise. I mentioned it to the dr and he said "normal, baby is cutting of circulation." then he told me to get my legs up in the air when possible to help.

I think it's getting worse though. It hurts to do anything in any position; sit, stand, walk, squat, etc. The only time I don't want to cry is when my legs ARE in the air, but I can't really do that at work.

Should I call them back and tell them I think it's getting worse or just wait until my next apt next week?

Re: Leg pain

  • Do you think it could be varacos (sp?) veiis.. I have had some leg pain.. right side in the bikini area.. hot to the touch and swollen.. I asked the ob about it and she said it is ok.. they are minor not like real varacos veins.. I worry about them as they run in my family.. grandmother, dad, uncle and cousin.. my cousin has had to have surgery even and my dad had them so bad he got a blood clot.. just a thought.. if you are really worried I would call the ob just for peace of mind.. hth!

  • Thanks girls.  Even though I objectively know it's not a blood clot I still manage to freak myself out every other day.

I got some feedback on my legs though. My circulation is super sluggish apparently. I told so to look at them last night but didn't tell him why. Even he said they're really red, hard and warm. Since both legs look exactly alike I didn't really think it was a blood clot, but still kind of freaked. so called his sis who's a nurse and asked her about it all on his own. I was hanging upside down on the couch when I heard him in the kitchen talking to her.

She confirmed what the dr said so at least now I don't have to be the paranoid preggo girl calling again. I'm to get my legs up as much as possible and not sit or stand for periods of time. Baby's putting pressure on me (evenly apparently) and w/ my family history of vericose veins and the gd the blood is having a hard time coming back up my legs.
