Does this creep anyone else out?

The commerical for Paranormal Activity 2?

I have to turn away every time it comes on.  I saw it last week late at night when DH was out of town and when I went to bed I kept picturing the baby in the crib and then getting pulled out of the room.  It looks like such a creepy movie.  I'm a chickensh!t now and can't watch scary movies anymore.

Re: Does this creep anyone else out?

  • I HATE scary movies. Every Halloween DH tries to make me watch one and I have to leave the room everytime. I'm chickensh*t too.

  • Me too!! I have to shut my eyes and plug my ears if those commercials come on when I am home alone! Eric says we are watching that movie, no way in hell, especially since there is a baby.

  • I FF through it or change the channel when I see it start.  I've never seen more than 2 seconds of it.  I used to love scary movies when I was younger.  The last one I saw was Hostel (maybe 5 years ago?) and I had nightmares about it for months.  I haven't watched another one since.  Luckily DH only likes "true" stories, like documentaries or based on actual events movies for the most part, so he would never want to watch a scary movie.  What happens to us as we get older than we can no longer tolerate them?
  • I love scary movies and look forward to Halloween when they run a lot of them on TV!
  • haha I thought I was the only one who closed my eyes & tried to plug up my ears!!! lol
  • yes, i agree it's awful! all those scary movie trailers should be only shown after 9p.m. at night i hate them! that last exorcism one really freaked me out =(
  • OMG YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I don't mind movies like Halloween or things like that, but, the paranormal stuff?  That scares the crap out of me.

I have never seen the first one, can't POSSIBLY see the second one.  I hate any type of movie that "possibly, could be" true.  The Exorcist, Stigmata (the only move I've ever turned off due to being scared), anything dealing with ghosts or religion scare me to death.

  • I am a wuss and hate scary movies. I was even scared of Child's Play, lol. I have to turn the channel every time that commercial comes on now.

  • I hate scary movies!  But they are DH's favorite!  I've put on my brave girl pants and have watched a few with him.  At the theater I'm curled up practially in the fetal position covering my eyes and ears.  At home I'll hide under the blanket until it's too much and then hide in the bedroom.

But...I did see the first movie and even though it was so creepy, I semi-kinda-sorta liked it and semi-kinda-sorta want to watch the second one.  I think I have a better tolerance for the ghost type movies than for anything with gore. But all of them give me major anxiety and stress while watching!

  • DH and I love watching ghost stuff or any kind of paranormal show.  We watched the first Paranormal Activity and neither one of us found it to be scary. It was almost like a 2 hour episode of ghost hunters with a predictable ending.
