First post. Looking for honest feedback on b/g names.

Hey there!

I'm dying for some feedback on some names I'm thinking about.  Since we don't share names (with anyone) before baby is born, I came here for some anonymous input.

Girl name: Alice

Boy name: Will

I usually like names a bit more unusual, but my husband is a quick vetoer, so these are good compromises, I think.  Other kids' names are Owen and Grey.

Both are fine. Nothing is weird about either. I'd probably name my boy William and just use Will as a NN. Some people will probably mention the Twilight connection to Alice, but I don't think it's a big deal.

I like Will, but Alice is my grandmother's name and therefore I associate it as a very old person kind of name.

I don't love the name Alice but its ok. I would go with William nn Will.

I really like Alice and think it is underused. Alice is an adorable little girls name and a great adult name. So a big  from me.

Will is nice too although I do prefer William as a given name.

I like the names William & Allyson! For NN you can call them Will or Alice!

Funnily enough, I really dislike William.  It's just way too boring for me.  I don't see a need for the full name when Will can easily be used at all ages.

Allison-no.  Ugh.

I like short, classic, easy to say/spell. I like to stay away from anything in the top 100. Preferably on a downward trend.

 

Anyone else buy a subscription for the baby name wizard's new expert tools?  I am obsessed!  LOL

I like your names but I'm not sure if Alice fits.  I like how you almost have a 4 letter theme going on there.  How about Lila or Anna?  I know Anna is in the top 100 but it's really not that popular.

Honestly, they're fine names. A little boring for my blood, but they're easy to say, spell, and definitively feminine and masculine, respectively. I'll take a boring name over a contrived youneek one anyday.

yes.  They are very nearly too boring for me.

If I had my pick the names would be Winnifred/Matilda and Sebastian/Ozzie.

Instead of Will, how do you feel about Wyatt? I think Grey, Owen and Wyatt are great brothers.

Great names. Love Alice - It would be on my list for a girl, if I didn't have a niece named Allison. Will is cute.

We will be naming out first daughter Alice, so I think it's a lovely name and goes great with your other children's names.

Very nice! Alice is a pretty name that you don't hear much. Will is clearly very popular but also a nice, solid, traditional name with a modern spin.

I like Will.. I can understand why you don't want William. Our son's name is Wes, not Wesley. I think it's fine.
