Bundle me?

I'm sure this has been asked about before so my apologies.

I've heard different things about this in terms of it potentially being unsafe, while others really like it. I received one as a gift but also have one of the carseat covers that goes over the car seat like a shower cap. So I was thinking of returning the bundle me if I can, but I'm feeling undecided. I actually haven't even taken it out of the package yet to see if it even fits my car seat (snugride 35) in case that affects my ability to return it.

Any thoughts?

I love my Bundle Me! I cut the back out of it around the harness straps to make it safe, I like that it can zip up or down and be pulled all the way over the strap for total coverage. It's really personal preference.

I have both as well. I got my bundle me as a gift when DD was born (and before I knew they were unsafe). I still have it and use it in the stroller.

I bought a shower cap style for DS at Walmart of all places. It cost me about $15, and I seriously love it. WAY more than my bundle me. DD would get super sweaty on her back with the bundle me, and I had the bundle me Urban, so it wasn't even as thick as the regular one. I have used the shower cap one with DS a few times already, and I would recommend it over the bundle me.

I love how cozy Bundle Me is more than other brands. The one that just came out on the 30th that has elastic going aroundthe car seat so there's no safety issue can be found on Amazon if you search for JJ Cole car seat cover. Pink or khaki, $30 total.

If there is anything between your baby and the carseat, it is unsafe and the manufacturer will void the warranty. I would just stick w/ the shower cap one, or maybe buy the new Bundle Me.

JJ Cole just came out with a shower cap style. I was at BRU the other day and saw them in stock for $24.99!

I just got the khaki one from Amazon yesterday. Tried it on our Keyfit seat and it worked well! I'm really glad they came out with this new one!

The general rule is that you don't put anything in the car seat that didn't come with it besides baby. I registered for a Bundle Me, but when I read about them online I decided to take it off of my registry. What I read was that since they are so thick the straps can't get tight enough to keep baby in the seat in the event of an accident. That was enough for me. Supposedly it also voids the car seat warranty. If you want to use it for your stroller I think that's fine. I just wouldn't use it in the car seat.
