My sister is going to buy the swing I want to register for. I'm torn between two, both have their pros & cons. I thought I'd ask around and see if any of you favor one over the other. Thanks!
wow - I am of no help to you! I guess the first thing I thought of was that they look completely different and the swing will most likely sit out in your living room or something. Which one would you rather stare at?
Either one is fine - I like that the mamaroo has five different motions and plugs in. I like the other one because it has two different motions, has a mobile that moves on its own.
The mamaroo is newer so I know a lot of moms haven't had a chance to try it out but the other one is really really popular. Two of my friends own it and love it. I'm just so torn.
and of course the mamaroo is online only so you can't play with it. That is one of the things that drove me nuts about registering - there is nothing in the stores!
Id go for the second one I wish we had seen that one when we were registering. We saw it after at Buybuybaby, im not sure if you have one by you or not.
Lucas loved his swing and I really wish we would have gotten one that plugged in, so that would be my only advice. (I couldnt tell from the descriptions if either of them did plug in or not)
So the second one is a bouncer and a swing? That's very cool. That would save you from having to get one of each. Plus, my DD hated the swing and loved the bouncer. You never know how kids are going to react.
We just bought my coworker the second one. I can let you know how she likes it in about 4 weeks Haha Sorry I'm not more help. Gabriel hates the swing, it was a huge waste of $ for us. I have heard great things about the first one though.
I'm jealous of these! We found a swing for $25 used at Salvation Army in Ann Arbor that looked barely used and totally clean. We picked it up and didn't register for one then and got other stuff. I want a new one now for Summer!
We have the lamb swing, and DD has always loved it! The second swing looks pretty great, too, so I'm sure you either one would be a good choice. Sorry that I'm not much help!

We have a swing similar to the first. Some of the FP swings do plug in. We have the starlight papasan and that one does plug in.
I just saw the second swing at BuyBuyBaby. My mom and I were both in awe. It looked really neat! The only thing I'd question is it seemed smaller. I know they're both for up to 25lbs, but it seemed like the baby would grow out of this one faster

We have one simliar to #1 and DS LOVED IT. It saved my sanity until about 6 months. I know some babies don't like it though. I would also recommend finding one that plugs in. Ours does not.
We have the little lamb one and it was hands down the best thing we got! DD slept in that thing for the first four months of her life- at least! We had it in our bedroom. We actually didn't even have it swinging that often- just the shape of it was so great. It really helped with her reflux- she couldn't really lay flat. This one is different from many swings because it can go side to side or front to back (we always went side to side). Plus the baby is kind of laying down more in it- not sitting up like some of them. And it is so soft and cuddly.
I don't know anything about the second one, just wanted to share our experience with the Little lamb:)
I saw that second one at buybuybaby last weekend and loved it! We had one like the first one that Lexi loved.
I like how the second one is two in one but I still would want a smaller bouncer b/c I would take that in the bathroom with me when I would get ready or take it with us to the grandparents/siblings houses.
So I am no help either but I just wanted to throw it out there that it is still nice to either have the smaller bouncer or the travel swing for a place to put them in other rooms.
