Does anyone have this?  How much do you pay?  What do you like/dislike about it?

TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.

Re: AAA

  • We have had it forever. I think it's a little over $100/year for 2 of us. They give discounts, offer towing, lockout service and bring you gas if you run out. They give free travelers checks and maps when you go on a trip... that's mainly what we've used it for but I'm sure there's more services offered.

  • we love it too! though we don't use it as much as we could. but its nice knowing its there if we need it! especially with a baby. i saw a woman changing a tire the other day on the freeway in the rain and thought about how now that i have a baby i especially appreciate the thought of having it! although i can change a tire i would have totally called them if i were in that situation!
  • We have had it for a long time. We now pay about $100 per year for my husband and I for the extended coverage. I believe that if you are a new customer they often have promotional deals going on so that your first year is cheaper. I have used the lock out service several times because I am notorious for locking my keys in the car at least once or twice a year. If you have an older car or one that is out of the manufacture warranty period the towing benefits can come in handy. The extended service allows up to 100 miles of towing, I believe the standard membership only covers up to five miles of free towing. We live in a very rural area so we go with the extended service because if we needed the towing services we are almost guaranteed to need more than five miles of towing to get us anywhere. The discounts that AAA offers are also a nice bonus, you just have to remember to ask if places offer a AAA discount or look it up ahead of the time.

  • We have the most basic service...it's something like $50 a year.  We've used it twice for a tow and a few time for discount at hotels.  It's one of those things that I feel justifed in having because even though we don't use it often it sure comes in handy when we do need to use it.
