Multiples

Protein

How did you ladies get the recommended amount of protein for multiples?

I'm looking at Dr. Luke's chart and it says I should be eating 176 grams of protein a day.

Ideas, please?

Re: Protein

  • I made a protein shake w/ fruit every day, and added flax seed oil.  Every meal, even snacks, I had protein.  Example, cereal, I chose the kind w/ pumpkin seeds in it.  Toast, use peanut butter instead of butter.  Veggies, dip in cottage cheese.  :)  Good luck!!

  • i couldn't stand chicken- but CRAVED chicken salad sandwiches - so i ate a LOT of them.

peanut butter is a good option if meats are grossing you out...

    avacado...

many people drink protein shakes... or add that powder to things they are drinking (smoothies, etc).

  • Eggs, nuts, cheese, beans, greek yogurt, all the different types of meats.  If you take a couple days and keep a log of how much protein you're eating you'll see its not really as inimidating as you think.  Most non-pg people consume more protein than their supposed to anyway.
