Let me start by saying that I'm sure many of are thinking it's waaaaay too early to be thinking about Christmas! But Christmas is a really big deal in my family. I have a huge extended family, and we all get together at Grandma and Grandpa's (Henry's Greats-) for Christmas Eve. Santa kicks off the night by coming and handing out gifts to the littlest ones, and there's a huge tree and tons of food. Besides, it's Grandma's birthday, too, and she's been in ill health for quite some time now, so I'm always worried this will be the last.
Also, this Christmas is particularly special for me. Although I definitely wanted to wait until now to get married and have kids, I still always had a little bit of jealousy of my younger 20-somethings cousins and their kids. I adore kids, and this year I get to be the one with the littlest baby. So I want him to look completely adorable! Plus, many members of the family will be meeting Henry for the first time (we live almost 6 hours away from most of them). So I've started shopping for his Christmas outfit already....I want to make sure I can get what I want without sizes selling out. Please take a look, and let me know what you think is the cutest. The three outfits I've narrowed it down to are quite different!
#1: Cute and Comfy "Santa's Little Helper"
#2: Cozy and Elfish "One-Piece Striped Sweater Suit"
#3: Classic and Preppy "Argyle Sweater Vest" (with white oxford shirt and black corduroys)

Re: Clicky Poll: What to wear for Christmas?
I voted for "Santa's Little Helper"...would be adorable when you snap pics with Santa who comes to hand out toys. And, when Henry falls asleep, he'll be comfy where as the sweater/cords will not be so comfy and I think the all-in-one might get hot.
FWIW, I already got Libby's holiday outfit! It's a crimson velvet all-in-one (pants rather than a dress, since she's mobile now) with cream ribbon and little rosette trim. I need to get some black patent shoes and a matching hair bow or headband to complete the look. We'll be traveling to Las Vegas to see the inlaws for Thanksgiving and she'll wear it for that as well as for Christmas here in OK. I do want to get her some cutie PJs for Christmas Eve too...she's wearing 18-24 mos. so I doubt I'll find "Baby's First Christmas" but I hope to find something cute and photo-worthy!

I voted for #3! It's a special occasion so it will be nice to have him dress up a little bit especially you're showing him off (at least that's what i'll do lol)?. However, when he falls asleep, perhaps, you can change him into a cute, more comfortable Christmas-themed sleeper?
oooh I like both #2 and #3...I like what Ericka suggested, #3 for the dinner part and maybe towards the end of the night put him in something more comfortable like #2
That is what I'm planning to do with Mason. I have a cute grey Penguin brand argyle sweater and I'm still tying to figure out what bottoms to wear. But I love #2, thinking about getting that for my LO too
Thanks!
I love Hawaii!

I voted for #2...that is ridiculously cute. I think Adair might have a pink one in her future!
and don't feel guilty thinking of Christmas so early. I bought DD's Christmas Eve outfit yesterday.
I'm SO in love with #2!!!!!!!!!!!!
That said, I'd have #3 in the wings as a backup in case he needs a change of clothes
I love #2, Jack has something similar from Hanna Anderson.
I don't think it's too early - I already got Jack this outfit for Holiday photos:
and this sweater that is part of the set just because it was cute (even though he won't wear it for pictures):

Okay....I ordered #2 today, and also bought #1 in the store yesterday. I've decided against #3. Although I still think it's adorable, and originally what I pictured Henry in for the holidays, I agree with the point that he'll still look adorable in something like that next year and years to come. #1 and #2 are more babyish, so we need to take advantage while we can! Besides, our holiday gathering is pretty casual. I'll probably put him in #2 for Christmas Eve with the family, and have #1 as a back up just in case. And if he doesn't need it, he can wear it on Christmas Day. We'll actually be driving back to IL on Christmas Day, so this'll be really comfy for the drive.
Thanks, everyone for your input!
THIS is exactly what I was going to say! :-)
