does school call dh/so

I worked last night, slept today. dc went to school. ds hit his nose and had a little nosebleed.  they tried to call me twice and I did not hear it.  they told dh this when he picked them up.  now, he is in walking distance to them. they did not try him once.  I'm not concerned about the nosebleed,... but if they felt the need to call, and did not get me, why did they not call dh?

I don't know why they wouldn't try to reach both parents if they couldn't get one.  We had to fill out a form (as I'm sure you probably did too) with any and all contact numbers to try in case of an emergency or accident....including DS's pedi.  I have them listed or prioritized so they know who to try first, second, third.

they don't even list the priority number, but numbers for each of us.  they know dh is right there... they know I work nights and most thurs nights at that b/c he brings them to school every friday. I may send a note saying it's okay to call dh and maybe list the hours he is lecturing.  dh said he said' oh you could've called me."

We had to fill out a 'chain of command' phone number list. I put myself first then DH. Yes, they do call him if I can't be reached.

They always call me first.   If they can't get ahold of me they'll try a couple more times and then call DH.
