Pampers overnite dipes... exploding?

DS woke up at 4am.  I pick him up.  Feel he's leaked through.  Take off his jammies and the damn diaper has exploded again.  All of those little piss crystals are all over him!!  This is the third time this has happened, and it's very hard to clean up.

Has this happened to anyone else?  I already have him in size 5's for nighttime (he's normally a 4).  I'm going to try to limit his liquids before bedtime I guess.

I never had one explode but I hated those diapers. DD would wake up soaking wet every morning and I would have to clean her sheets blanket and bunny every day. I changed back to Huggies Overnights. LOVE THEM! No leaking at all.

I used the Pampers Overnights for a long time and never had that happen.  Maybe you have a bad batch?  After a while though we just started using her regular Cruisers for overnight and they work just as good.  There is always the occasional wetness on her tummy but that doesn't happen often.  No diaper will contain everything 100% of the time.  But when she had the runs those Pampers would hold all the overnight pee and the giant watery poop she would make in the morning and that solidified it for me - we're sticking with Pampers!

It's not a bad batch because all three times were from different boxes.  I think it's a combination of things that's causing it:  He drinks 8 ounces right before bed, he sleeps on his belly, and the diaper always pops open at the top right under his belly button.  I'll try to limit his liquids right before bedtime.

 LOL at 'piss crystals'.  Huggies overnights work for us.  However, she moves around in her sleep, so maybe the pee is just distributed more evenly?  Gross, but it's possible...

We haven't had a problem with the overnight's exploding and DS sleeps on his belly, too.  Mebbe he is drinking too much before bed! LOL

You're not alone.  I've also had this happen a couple times this week (as well as multiple times before this week).  I am about ready to limit liquids before bedtime too...

Never had this happen. I know the baby dry used to do this and thats whyw e switched to overnights. Its probably a lot of having so much liquid before bedtime. We try to limit the liquid before bed but even then in the mornings his dipe is huge!

Pampers is the only brand that has not done that to us. I was told to use a dry paper towel to clean the crystals off. Or anything dry wet makes it harder to get off. I would cut down on his night drinking since we did that DS has cut down a ton his nighttime peeing. And then also I am sure you do this but make sure his man parts are pointing down that way the pee is not always going streght to front of diaper. But I know we had same problem when DS was drinking a ton before bed.
