Bedsharing has been the only way for LO and I to get any sleep. We recently started to feel as though it was time to start trying to get her to sleep in her crib (at least to start out the night). We started by putting her in her bouncy seat in the crib. That worked ok, but the problem is that she is rolling now, and wants to constantly roll. So, she's trying to work her way off of the bouncy seat. That's not going to work. I would just keep her in bed with me, but I also run into the rolling problem there, as she gets frustrated if I try to hold her close to me in my arms, because she wants to be free to roll, but I worry about her rolling off the bed, etc. if I don't hold her in my arm. She wants to be able to roll, but she also HATES the openness of lying in her crib. What do I do???!
Re: Bedsharing to crib...how?!!!!!!!!!!
Have you read the No Cry Sleep Solution? It has some great suggestions.
I can't tell you how well they work, though. I'm not ready to give up bedsharing.

We moved a mattress to ds room where I can sleep/we can bedshare while gettting him used to his crib. It's working well, but it's not a fast process. Right now he is in his crib till about 4 am when I'm too tired to put him back, but it keeps me from walkign back and forth between our two rooms.
I let him play in his crib before bed just to get him used to it and to make it a happy place. I nurse him and then when he is really tired he can barely hold his head up I lay him in the crib and pat his back, rub his belly or massage his feet. Some days he is out in like 5 minutes, others are rougher. I sit next to the crib so my face is at eye level while he is laying down to discourage him from standing up. I put my hands through the slats to comfort him. We are also trying to introduce a lovey. I'm trying to do this as gradually as possible, I'm in no hurry, I just want it to be a positive transition. I think we are getting somewhere, but we still have a lot of work to do.
