On the name Dax or Daxton for a boy?  I pulled the name from one of the actors on the show Parenthood.  Not too sure about it... What do you think?

It sounds like you wanted to use Jackson or Paxton, but those were too popular, so you made something up.

What about Dexter? Similar, and very unique, but an actual name.

Trendy. Several people are on the Jackson/Jaxon/Paxton/Daxton bandwagon, so this just looks like another variation. I know the actor is making this name more popular, but it's still made up.

I actually really like Dax.  I grew up with a boy named Dax and I guess it's just a good association because he was sweet and cute.  It's always been on my long list, since high school!
