Wide Neck Bottles VS Regular

I plan on BF but while I'm at work and when H is the only one home and the LO needs to be fed I'm going to pump. Just looking at bottles and wondering what the difference is b/w the wide neck bottles vs the regular ones?

I don't know for sure but I think the wide neck probably mimics the breast more than a regular bottle.  We use Born Free bottles which are wide neck and really like them.

I think the purpose of the wide neck bottles is to mimic breastfeeding and prevent nipple confusion.  We use Avent bottles - love them.

We use Tommee Tippee, there wide to be more like the breast.  DD has been switching back and forth between bottle and breast and has never had a problem.

Ditto pps... the wide mouth are more like the breast.  However, the regular bottles will screw right on to the pump, so they are more convenient in most cases.

We started with dr browns standard (they fit on our pump) but we had to do bottles early and at almost every feeding. After a while DS started to prefer the bottle to nursing (easier to get the milk out and less effort) and his latch was getting worse and worse. So we switched to Dr browns wide and born free. (DS hated tommee tee, but some babies love them)

Now that DS's latch is good, we use the wide mouth bottles for his 1 bottle/day but if he needs a bottle some other time (like i'm running late from the store) we will use either wide or standard and he does fine.
