update: still refusing to sleep in her room...

yesterday dh put the crib back together. last night she managed to climb out of her crib (never happened before, and its on the lowest setting).

dh put her on the futon by herself and she didn't fight it at all. she did wake up in the middle of the night and dh ended up bringing her back to bed with him in his zombie state.

so we're back to the toddler bed, thinking its pointless to keep it a crib if she's figured out how to climb out.

not sure what to do at this point....all suggestions/vibes/brainwashings are welcome.

If it can fit, but the futon in her room too.  But a baby gate at our door so she can't leave (her room becomes her crib).  Hopefully she'll fine a place to sleep like that.

Do you think she's scared of being in the dark alone?  It was shortly after two that O started insisting we leave the light on for him.  He's still too scared to sleep in the dark.

i think she's scared, but more of being left alone that the dark. she's fighting nap time just as much as she is bed time.

small success last night: dh laid down with her on the futon (after dealing with her fussing for over an hour). she was still awake when he got up and left the room and she watched him walk away without screaming or getting up. she also stayed there the entire night.
