I had my LOs at 36w0d. I had had two steroid shots at 24w to help their lungs as I had PTL issues starting at 22w1d. After they were born, both babies went to the "transition nursery" where they were evaluated to see if they could room in with me, go to the regular nursery, or if they needed NICU time. They initially wanted DD to go to the NICU just based on weight (4 lbs 2 oz), and DS had some initial blood sugar issues (probably from my GD). However, they agreed to watch them in the transition nursery for the max time of 6 hours and then decide. They wound up deciding that both babies were fine to go to the regular nursery for overnights, and could spend days rooming in. They wanted just that little bit more observation on them. They were born on a Friday evening and we all went home together Tuesday afternoon.
After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks.
My girls were born via scheduled c-section at 36 weeks exactly. Ava was 5 lbs 2 oz and Grace was 4 lbs 3 oz. Grace had to go to the NICU only because at our hospital any baby under 4.5 lbs had to go. Neither baby had any trouble breathing or eating (thank goodness) and so overall they were healthy, just small. They did have a little jaundice, but not too bad. You can call your NICU to see what size requirements they have. I had them on a Monday, we left the hospital on Friday afternoon with Ava and came back on Sat morning to pick up Grace. We delivered them at 36 weeks due to placenta sharing issues as Grace had stopped growing and they thought it was best to get them out. GL!
Born at 36 weeks exactly. No NICU time, but I also had cervical shortening and PTL issues so I had the steroid shots and Mag Sulfate at 32 weeks. One did fail the carseat test so we stayed the 4th day and she passed.
DS went to nursery for a few hours after c-section to check his breathing but he was fine and DD stayed in nursery 1 extra day to tan hahaha... she was slightly jaundice. Both came home just fine.
My girls were born at 35w6d, so almost 36 weeks. They were 4lbs12oz and 5lbs14oz. I had had the steroid shots around 29 weeks because of PTL issues. My smaller DD was sent to the NICU because she was under 5 lbs (our NICUs cut-off). My larger DD started off in the transitional nursery, but had some respiratory grunting so she was sent to the NICU. They worked her up for a possible infection, but she turned out to be fine. She did have a couple apnea episodes in the NICU so she went home on an apnea monitor for a month. DDs were born on a Wed, I was discharged on Sun, smaller DD Mon, and larger DD Tues.

My triplets were born at 35 weeks, 6 days. No steroid shots. They weighed 5 lbs 3oz, 4 lbs 13 oz and 4 lbs 13 oz. Allie and Em did not spend any time in the NICU. They were in the Special Care Nursery for 2 days as a precaution and b/c they seemed to have some problems maintaining their body temps.
Anna spent 3 weeks in the NICU only b/c she has spina bifida and had to have 2 surgeries. Otherwise, she had no preemie issues and would have been with her sisters.
36wks 1 day- both went to NICU for observation; daughter released to regular nursey the next day. Son admitted to NICU for breathing issues and is still there. I did not have steroid shots. They were small: 4#10oz and 4#15oz
We had ours at 37, but the results would have been similar had we had them at 36 weeks. We had one with no NICU time with DS, 5lb2oz, and DD did 4 weeks in the NICU, 4lb3oz. DD was IUGR so her brain stem function wasn't fully developed. She had to stay because she was constantly having bradys. She came home on a heart rate monitor after 4 weeks in the NICU. We knew before she was born that she was IUGR and that she most likely would be spending time in the NICU.

Our babies were born via c-section at 36w1d due to hellp. Logan was 6lbs7oz and Amelia was 5lbs2oz. They needed no NICU time at all and went home with us. Amelia's blood sugar was a little low when she was born so my husband got to feed her right away a little bit and she was a little jaundice so she spent time under the lights. She improved very quickly though. We were so so lucky.
They didn't have any NICU time until the last day. They had problems holding their temperature so they burned off too much of their weight. I left the hospital on Tuesday night (c-section was Friday) and they came home Thursday night.
Re: Ladies who had their babies at 36wks
They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks.
This, except we had a boy (5lb15oz) and a girl (4lb15oz).
Good luck!
Had mine at 36wks, 2 days.
Had steroid shots at 33wks and bedrest at home with terbutaline. When I stopped the terb at 36 weeks, my water broke!
They were 6 pounds even and 6 pounds 10 oz at birth and had no NICU time at all.
36 weeks 6 days... no NICU time here.
DS went to nursery for a few hours after c-section to check his breathing but he was fine and DD stayed in nursery 1 extra day to tan hahaha... she was slightly jaundice. Both came home just fine.

Exactly this. audrey was in triage for four hours to monitor breathing and blood sugar levels but then was cleared to room in.

I had my boys at 36w1d. Nolan was 5lbs 11oz, Luke was 5lbs 1oz.
Luke needed NICU time for breathing troubles. He was in there for only 6 days and came hope happy and healthy
Mine were born at 36 weeks 3 days.
