Should I keep him home today?

My son has a cough. That is all. He has had it for 3 days and it is in his chest. It gets worse at night. I am new at this preschool thing so I don't know what the "rule" is. Do I need to keep him home?

Our preschool's rule is no green nose or fever.  With this cough, do you think it is a little cold or allergies?  If it is probably a bug and one you wouldn't wish on another child due to sleep issues or whatever, then I would keep him home.
