Hello Ladies,
It has been a while since I have been on here. My DH thought I was bumping too much but mainly my retail job has stressed me out so much that I have switched gears and am looking to start an in home daycare.
I am basically in the start of my 2ww now and just have a feeling it will happen this cycle. Well early this morning I woke up with the urge to pee. I never do that in the middle of the night. The urge has only gotten more. My question is have any of you had a UTI right around the time you conceived?
My first pregnancy I had gotten my first UTI. It was a few days after we conceived but at that point I didn't know I was pregnant and they put me on antibiotics. I am just hoping this isn't the case again. If I do have a uti and am pregnant that it will turn out fine.
Re: UTI and conceiving
I really know nothing about UTIs, i am sorry!!
I just wanted to write that i'm really thinking hard about starting an in home daycare too. I'm a teacher, have my masters degree and am permanently certified as a teacher.. (a lot of teachers today need to have so many hours of professional development and need to re-apply every few years, but not me).
But i've been searching for a job for the past 7 years!! The schools around me are just not hiring and I really don't want to relocate since i love it here so much. I would love to start an in home day care for teachers kids... so if there's a snow day, i have a day off too. Every teacher holiday, is a holiday for me too!
But i don't even know where to begin, and there really is no place in my house where we could have them.

When I've had a UTI around ovulation, I tend to ovulate late. If you're charting and watching for CM, then you should be able to pick up if you're ovulating late.
I did get pregnant around the same time as I had a UTI. Unfortunately, my pregnancy ended badly. I also had what I thought were UTIs throughout the pregnancy, though they were unlike any UTI I'd ever had (and I repeatedly told my urologist that). My urologist thought so too. She misdiagnosed me. I was having bladder spasms, which mimic some of the symptoms (urgency, burning when urinating, pain) of a UTI. So, I got antibiotics that I didn't need. Joy.
Was your FMU a different color than usual? Do you have blood in your urine? Both of those are positive signs of an actual infection. If you think you have a UTI, you should go and get it checked out by your doctor so you can get treated properly. Also, my OB/GYN does not approve of taking Bactrim in the first trimester as it's a Class C drug...this is exactly what my urologist prescribed (though she knew I was trying and thought I might be pregnant) and it took me days to get her to change it (yes I need to fire her). So, check any medicine you get prescribed with your OB/GYN to make sure it's compatible with pregnancy.
