exersaucer vs. jumperoo

What is the difference? Is one more necessary than the other? We have that 4 in one activity center from Evenflo that is an exersaucer. I don't have a ton of room in my house so I didn't want to get a jumperoo but so many on this board I feel like have one.

I dont think they make a jumperoo that folds up, do they?

Re: exersaucer vs. jumperoo

  • I just like the jumperoo better because it has all the toys like an exersaucer, but DD can jump too.  I think 1 is all you need

  • We got the exersaucer and my mom (who will be watching DS during the week starting next week) has the jumperoo for variety.  I like the jumperoo better as long as you get one that has alot of toys on it.  Our plan for our house is to use the exersaucer and the doorway jumper if he's a jumper.  Some kids seem to like to bounce more than others.  My neice didn't like to jump by my nephew LOVES  the doorway bouncer even though it has no toys on it.

  • I have a jumperoo and I really want an exersaucer!  The problem with the jumperoo that I have is that ours has to be hung in a doorway and in order to interact with DD while she is in it I have to sit on the floor, she can't be in the living room or family room playing with everyone, she is behind everyone.  While she loves her jumperoo I want to get an exercaucre so we can have her in the room with us and I can play with her while sitting in a chair or on the couch since I have a hard time getting up off the floor sometimes (we have hardwoods - so it isn't really confortable!).
