Slender Car Seat

I am in search of a narrow car seat for my 2 year old.  I have a CRV and have graco snugrides for the babies.  The car seat that I have now for DS is too wide to fit all three in the back seat.  Any suggestions other than the Sunshine Radian?  TIA

    I found myself in the same situation when I got pregnant with number 3! I purchased Sunshine Kids Radian Car Seat! They are narrow enough three of these car seats will fit across the the backseat of a small car! I had a Mercury Mariner at that point so about the same size as CRV!

    Those are the car seats I would recommend for when your twins are convertible seats as well. They are are rated very safe and I believe they can be RF until 40lbs. I can not put my twins RF because they now get car sick! Plus these seats are for up to 80lbs!

    Opps Sorry i did not see that part where you said other than Sunshine Radian! Some did tell me that Graco makes one that is more narrow but I am not sure. I know the BRU by me has a "fake" backseat up in the car seat seats and you try putting some of the floor models together with the snugride car seats. I really tried hard to find another car seat other than the Sunshine Kids because of the price but i ended up having to go with them.

    I was afraid of that.  I was just a bit taken aback by the price of the Radian.  But we may just have to go with that.

    If you order on diapers.com I believe they give a 15% discount for first time buyers and they have free shipping. How old is your son? If he is far from out growing the carseat than it might be worth it since you can use till 80lbs. I know when I purchased mine from diapers.com I bought the ones that were on sale and used a 15% first time buyer discount as well. I think I ended up paying about 180 each for them.

    you might be able to fit all 3 across if you use the seatbelts instead of the latch - this is how we fit 3 across in the back of DH's Escape --- it's just as safe.... latch tends to pull the side seats towards the middle- wasting space.

    FYI - Babies R Us is having their annual trade in event, where you can trade in old baby gear (or just unwanted, doesn't have to be old) for 25% off towards the purchase of new baby gear. We did this last year and got hundreds of dollars off our cribs and carseats. We had a LOT of hand me downs that were either too worn or just old, plus some dusty old crap in the garage to get rid of. They took it all! The dates are August 27 to September 19. I can't find it on their website but there's an ad in Parent's Magazine.
