Circumcision Revision Experience (and review)

Not sure if y'all remember me asking about local pediatric urologists recently, but my little Eli had his surgery this morning and I wanted to give you guys an update and review. Everything went great this morning (despite my nerves and tension!)....Scottish Rite and Dr. Elmore were PHENOMENAL. Eli was circ'd at birth, but has never really looked circumcised and had adhesions occur a few times. So we were *finally* referred to a pediatric urologist despite all the regular pedis saying to wait and see if it fixed itself. Good thing we got the referral because Dr. Elmore immediately said he needed a revision ASAP (for an easier recovery since he's younger). He said that our crappy OB (I hated this practice for more reasons than this one - and I'm calling them crappy, not Dr. Elmore) just simply didn't remove the proper amount of foreskin. Additionally, he discovered this morning that his meatus (his little pee hole) was too narrow and would pose problems later down the road and would need surgical repair. Fortunately, he took care of it all today and hopefully we won't have any issues! The whole process took about 5 hours from arrival time to leaving - the actual surgery was only 40 mins and with recovery time, about an hour total. I was a ball of nerves (anesthesia is so scary when its your sweet little baby!) - but it all went so smoothly and the CHOA staff was really amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Elmore if your little one ever needs a urologist.

Anyway, just wanted to share in case there are others out there facing similar situations - and thank you to those who reassured me before when I previously asked about this issue a few months back.
